Nairobi National Park
Nairobi National Park is an introduction to the country’s natural heritage. It is the first game park which opened in 1946, it hosts about 80 species of mammals and 500 hundred birds; within its boundaries.
Daphne Sheldricks
Sheldrick’s is the home of orphaned elephants and black rhinos. At the Sheldrick Orphanage we will be able to view feeding time between 11am-12pm. One can have a chance to touch and even kiss them.
Giraffe Center
At the Giraffe Center you will have an up close and personal interaction with the giraffe’s. You have the opportunity to hug, kiss and even feed them!
Carnivore
The meat eater in you will enjoy tasting fine game meat.
Vegetarian’s are not left out a menu is available for you too!
When we are finished enjoying dinner you can even take part in dancing at the Carnivore’s nightclub. |
Fourteen Falls
Fourteen falls is located about 65 km away from Nairobi off Thika - Garissa Road turning at Makutano junction. The falls derive the name from their fourteen successive falls of water along the famous Athi River, border between Thika and Machakos districts. |

Amboseli National Park
Amboseli is known for its elephant populations. Mt.Kilimanjaro is Africa’s largest mountain, which lies just over the border in Tanzania. On a clear day you can have a spectacular view of The park is home to more than just Elephants, you will find herds of wildebeests, zebras and impalas grazing on the open plains. There are areas of acacia forest that is good for birding, and are home to many small mammals. Cheetahs are also often sighted here. This open country is good walking territory, and many camps and lodges organise game walks, or trips to spend time in local Maasai villages. The swamp, Enkongo Narok plays a major role especially during dry periods.

Lake Baringo
Lake Baringo is well known for two of its residents - Hippos and Crocodiles. The crocodiles are often seen lying on the shores or swimming through the shallows hunting waterfowl.
You can view the Hippos while taking a boat trip, and at Lakeside lodges and camps. At night right besides your tent the Hippos are seen at night grazing the lawns.
The Lake has abundance of fish, and as a direct result, an abundance of Fish Eagles, cormorants and pelicans, just to name a few water birds. Ol Kokwe Island in the middle of the lake is an ideal place for birding, but also for sighting plenty of crocodiles and monitor lizards at the waters edge. Baringo is a birds paradise.
While at the lake you will be able to see a large number of birds. Baringo is also the home to a Community Museum. The museum is open daily, displaying several species of snakes, including the Black Mamba, Puff Adder, Boomslang and Spitting Cobra as well as Monitor Lizards. |

Maasai Mara
The Mara is now recognized as one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. Each year the Mara plays host to the world’s greatest natural spectacle, the Great Wildebeest Migration from the Serengeti. From July to October, the promise of rain and fresh life giving grass in the north brings more than 1.3 million. The vast grassland plains are scattered with herds of Zebras, Giraffes, Gazelles, and Topis. The Acacia forests abound with bird life and Monkeys. Elephants and Buffalo wallow in the wide Musiara Swamp. The Mara and Talek rivers are brimming with Hippos and Crocodile. The reserve is ideal for game drives, and some lodges and camps offer walks and balloon safaris. |

Lake Naivasha
Enjoy this beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus. Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow barked Acacia Xanthophlea, known as the yellow fever tree. Naivasha is known as a world class birding destination. During your trip you will take notice of the giraffe’s wandering among the acacia, Buffalo wondering near the swamp while the hippos take a nap and the Black and White Columbus monkey playing in the treetops. |

TSAVO EAST
Its beautiful landscape and proximity to the Coast make it a popular safari destination. It is accredited as one of the World's leading bio-diversity strongholds. You will find bushy grassland and open plains alternating with savannah and semi-arid acacia scrub and woodlands. Green swathes cross the Park where the riverbanks give rise to lush vegetation. Tsavo is a photographer’s paradise due to its unbelievable views, particularly the Mudanda Rock and the Yatta Plateau, the world's largest lava flow. Luggard's Falls on the Galana River are remarkable for the shaped water-worn rocks. At Tsavo East, you will find elephants; rhinos, lions, leopards, crocodiles, waterbucks, kudus, gerenuks, and zebras and Aruba hunter's hartebeest can be seen with its lyre-shaped horns. Tsavo is home to some of the largest herds in Kenya. 500 bird species are recorded including ostrich. It’s a passage for birds migratory. |

MOUNT KENYA
Mount Kenya is the highest mountain in Kenya and the second highest in Africa after Kilimanjaro.
Found within the Mount Kenya National Park are black backed jackal, large spotted genet, black-tipped mongoose, porcupine, Cape buffalo, elands, bushbucks, waterbuck, bush duiker, klipspringer, zebras, rock hyrax and elephants. Primates include the sykes monkey, black and white colobus and blackfaced vervet.
The bird life is plentiful and large birds of prey that can be seen include Verrauxs Eagle, white backed vultures, crowned hawk eagle, long-crested eagle, mountain and augur buzzards. Smaller birds of prey include the great sparrow hawk, the African goshawk and falcons. The more noticeable birds are Hartlaubs turaco, the silvery-cheeked hornbill and the black-headed oriole. Sunbirds that can be seen perched around the flowers include the malachite, golden-winged, double collared and olive. The black duck, mountain wagtail and rarely, the giant kingfisher are seen on the forest streams. |

SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
Samburu National Reserve is not very well-known, but definitely worth a visit. It is situated on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro river in Kenya. This means plenty of water, trees and shade to attract wildlife like elephants, lions, giraffes and zebras from the surrounding savannah plains. Leopards are also regularly spotted.
Since the reserve is not well known, therefore not too crowded. It is often grouped together with the Buffalo Springs and Shaba National Reserves as they lie close together.
Samburu is famous for not only for its flora and fauna but due to the rare species of animals like the Beisa, Oryx, Gerenuk, Kudus, Grevy Zebras. These species are still in abundance, which makes the park unique. Recently there was a strange behavior between the lioness and the herbivores. Lionesses were adopting the young herbivores. |

Thompson Falls
The falls attract many groups to come and enjoy nature. To Bird Watchers it’s a superb place to spot species like the Red Winged Starlings, King fishers pied & Giant among others. |

LAKE NAKURU
Lake Nakuru Home to the largest flock of flamingos. Apart from flamingos you will see other birds like pelicans, marabou stork, and many other water birds. Also this is the park, which big has large populations of White Rhinos, which were brought from South Africa. It is another Rift Valley Lake.
The park abounds with game. There are huge herds of waterbuck, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, leopard and several large prides of lion. Exploring beyond the lake is always rewarding and there are forests, cliffs, waterfalls and more to be found here. |

Lake Bogoria
Lake Bogoria has been described in the past as the Jewel of the Great Rift Valley. With the backdrop of the Eastern Wall of the Great Rift Valley, it’s an eye-catching beauty that has always captivated its visitors. The contrast in colours from the grasslands into the Lake and the sky above can only be described as breath taking. Lake Bogoria is known for its hot springs and geysers dotted all around the southern shores of the lake.

Bogoria National Reserve is the home of Africa’s most magnificent antelope the greater kudu and a host of other savannah wildlife: zebra, Impala, Grant’s gazelle, klipspringer, buffalo, dikdik and Patas monkey among others. Predators include leopard, Cheetah, Hyenas, Mongoose, Jackal and occasional sightings of karakul. About 30 mammal species abound in the reserve. It is also rich in bird life. A total of 373 bird species have been recorded. |

KAKAMEGA FOREST
Kakamega is the home of unique and rare species. The amount of birdlife is overwhelming. The forest is full of monkeys. You will even find the stunning Chameleon lurking around the shrubs. During the evening hours you will hear sounds of frogs and night birds.
While walking under the forest canopy you will hear exotic birdcalls and enjoy the scents of wood, flowers and moss.
350 species of bird have been recorded including rare snake-eating birds. Kakamega offers excellent primate viewing: Black and White Colobus are plentiful and the De Brazza Monkeys can be found in the adjacent Kisere forest area. Many rare species of primate are common here such as the Blue Monkey, frequently seen near the Ishiuki Falls, the Olive Baboon and the Red Tailed Monkey.
It is home to some of the rarest tree species in the world and plays an important role for researchers.

KISUMU IMPALA SANCTUARY
The Sanctuary which is within Kisumu Municipality was established to provide a habitat for Impala which roamed the town and neighbouring unsettled areas. The Kisumu Museum is considered by many to be one of Kenya’s finest collections, exhibiting displays on wildlife as well as native Luo culture.

KITALE (MOUNT ELGON)
Rising from the jungles that border Uganda, Mt Elgon is an impressively craggy extinct Volcano. This remote region makes for interesting trekking through deep forest and across broad moorlands.
There is plenty of wildlife and plenty to discover.
KITALE MUSEUM
Its exhibits include the material culture of the peoples of Western Kenya, prehistory and natural history. A collection of the late Col. Stoneham's publications is maintained by the museum and can be consulted by special request. Thirty acres of museum land are dedicated to a Nature Reserve; this remnant of indigenous riverine tropical forest is home to the rare De Brazza monkey and a number of reptile, mammal and bird species.
SAIWA SWAMP
The park was established in order to protect the semi-Aquatic Sitatunga Antelope. It is in fact one of Kenya's smallest park, covering an area of about 3 square kilometers. The Sitatunga is unique in that it has wide spread hooves and can walk at the surface of the swamp. Visitors can stay at the Sirikwa tented camp outside the park. There is also a camping ground and a "serviced" campsite within the park. Visitors can also visit the three nature trails, bridges for walking over the swamp and the three viewing platforms for observing the Sitatunga as well as other animals like the endangered De Brazza monkey, otters, giant forest squirrel, black and white Colobus monkey, bushbuck and grey duiker.
TSAVO WEST
Tsavo West has important historic connections as a major battleground in World War I where British and German troops battled for supremacy.
The Park is easy to reach, located off the main Nairobi-Mombasa road. It offers tremendous views with diverse habitats ranging from mountains, river forest, lakes and wooded grassland. Its plains border with the Southern Serengeti plains in Tanzania. Game includes: leopard, cheetah, buffalo, rhino, elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, plains game, crocodile and small mammals including mongoose, hyrax, dikdik and the nocturnal porcupines.
It is an excellent park for visitors who enjoy walking, offering a number of nature trails and the opportunity to explore the Chaimu volcanic crater.
Mzima Springs is a star attraction, a pool of natural spring water with underwater viewing hides for observing hippos. It serves Mombasa city with water for human consumption.
SHIMBA HILLS
The Shimba Hills National Reserve is located just 48 kms from the coast, but at 500 metres they make a cool change from the tropical coastal climate. The reserve is made up of both open grassland and dense rainforest, all with stunning views across the Indian Ocean.
The Reserve has a variety of species including Elephant, Giraffe and Buffalo as well as the rare Roan and Sable antelope. The forests are home to a number of unusual species including the Black and White Colobus, Serval cats, Red Duiker and Suni Antelope.
An abundance of bird life is found among the hills, including Honey guides, Turacos, woodpeckers and Sunbirds.
The Shimba Hills are a natural and peaceful haven, easily accessed from the beaches of the Kenyan coast.
Watamu
At Watamu, a Marine National Park has been established, an ideal day trip for divers and snorkellers alike.
Northwest of Malindi is the spectacular Marafa Depression, locally known as Nyari and popularly known as Hell's Kitchen. An extensive series of sandstone gorges and sheer gullies, this unique and otherworldly landscape has become part of local folklore.
ARABUKO SOKOKE
North of Mombasa is the coastal forest of Arabuko Sokoke.
This fascinating forest wilderness is nestled beside the beaches of Watamu, just minutes from the waters of the Indian Ocean.
But enter the forest and discover a world apart from the beaches and reefs. In this 400 sq km reserve there is an untold wealth of natural beauty. The air is filled with butterflies and birds, the trees alive with monkeys and the forest floor home to many smaller mammals.
The forest stretches to the headwaters of the mighty Sabaki river, and occasionally herds of elephant pass through the forest en route to the river.
MIDA CREEK
Mida creek is a large creek lined with mangrove forest and renowned for its waders, kingfishers and crab plovers. Several groups in Watamu can arrange Birdwatching, fishing, mangrove walks, and leisure boat trips. Water skiing and other water sports are also available.
Mida Creek is large, from the spectacular entrance from the sea, with its dramatic water currents and coral outcrops, up to the far ends that are a tangled ribbon of channels and sandbanks, and the ideal places for wetland birds to feed at low tide. Approximately 6kms long, the creek has many narrower brackish and fresher tributaries where the waters are still and clear, and the mangrove forest is enveloping.
Malindi (Marine Park)
The small town of Malindi is at the centre of a strip of idyllic tropical beaches offering the visitor a range of world-class resorts and quiet relaxing hideaways. Further south, wide white beaches front the sleepy village of Watamu. This tranquil haven is home to several well-established resorts, and many private guesthouses scattered through the forest along the deserted shore.
